Great Expectations (2)

Hidden in Jesus, you can have unlimited expectations:

For instance you can expect that if you draw near to God, He will draw near to you.

You can expect that if you put Him and His righteousness first, He will provide everything you need (from basic emotional needs like safety, love, belonging and purpose to daily needs for wisdom and your daily bread).

If you take delight in the Lord, He will give you the desires of your heart.

If you acknowledge your sins, He is faithful and just to forgive your sins and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

If you hear Jesus’ voice and open the door to Him, He will come in to you, and will dine with you, and let you dine with Him.

If you come to God through His son, Jesus (there is no other way) you will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.

If you love Him, you will keep His words; and the Father will love you, and the Father and Son will come to you, and make their home with you.

If you live in Him, and His words live in you, you shall ask what you will, and it shall be done for you.

If you obey His voice and do all that He says, He will be an enemy to your enemies, and an adversary to your adversaries.

If you admit with your mouth the Lord Jesus, believing in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

If you keep His commandments, you will live in His love.

If you love others, God inhabits you and His love is made perfect in you.

If you continue in His word, you are His genuine disciples and you will know the truth, which will make you free.

If you are in Christ, you are a new creation.

If you are Christ’s, you are a descendant of Abraham and an heir to God’s promises to him.

If thirst drives you to Jesus, He will give you living water which will spring up in you to eternal life.

If you feed on Him, you will live forever.

If you follow Him you will not walk in darkness.

As His sheep, trusting Him as your Great Shepherd, He will keep you safe. He already gave His life to protect and save you.

If you let Him graft you as a branch into Himself as the vine, His life will flow through you.

If you believe in Him, you will live beyond death. Though your body dies, the real you will never die.

If you suffer with Him, you will be glorified with Him.
