Faith

Walking by faith is walking blindfolded. Sometimes we feel the touch of His hand around ours. Sometimes we hear the breath of a word behind our ears: Go straight. Stop. Turn left. Wait–wait–wait–

We panic or get angry when darkness closes in, when we can’t hear Him or see Him, can’t tell our prayers are being answered. But isn’t that the point? If we walk His path by faith, not by sight, shouldn’t we expect to have to walk it blind, at least sometimes? Isn’t it all about developing a sense that does not rely on physical touch, taste, or sight?

Remember someone’s wise advice, Don’t doubt in the dark what God has given you in the light.

One Response to Faith

  1. Walking by faith initiates our trust in God’s promises, given to us in His Holy Word of God. We are walking in a light that others do not see. There is a fine line between faith and foolishness. It is never foolish to trust God’s promises, as you quote, don’t doubt in the dark what God has given you in the light. 🙂
