They have kept Your word

“I have made your name known to these men whom you gave me from the world. They were yours, and you gave them to me, and they have kept your word. God’s son, praying to his Father.

Peter.

Peter was one of those men whom God gave to His son Jesus.

Peter, who contradicted the son of God: “[What You just said] will never happen to you!”

Peter, who had to do it his own way: “You shall never wash my feet . . . Well, in that case, wash my hands and head, too!”

Peter, who said: “I wasn’t with Him.” “I am not His disciple!” “I DON’T KNOW THE MAN!”

Of him Jesus told the Father, “HE HAS KEPT YOUR WORD.”

And the Father did not correct him.

Talk about grace.
