Invitation to pray with us

“If My people, who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14

Forty days until the national election. Join us in 40 days of prayer for the election and its aftermath, with fasting of some kind if God so leads.

  1. Glad that you are doing this too. Each one, reach one. 40 days of continual prayer will avail much. I just read “Upwords” by Max Lucado and he has a prayer group going also, and the pledge signed at this point was over 38,000 people. One Cry has a big following, and then there are numerous small groups, individual churches participating. Encouraging.

    Yes! Thank you, Karyl.

It is not that God is reluctant to help us. He is the One who initiates mercy! He has poured out unbelievable grace and mercy on us for generations. But when we (through our leaders) shut Him out of our schools, places of decision-making, homes and lives, we chose judgment for ourselves. To reverse that, we need a mighty, nation-wide humbling to demonstrate our sorrow for “flipping Him off” and to invite Him to resume His gracious leadership of our nation.

Read The Harbinger to understand more fully how we brought this on ourselves!

  3. The flip side is that it just might be God’s will that Obama serve a second term. Not that I’m in favor of that, mind you…

Jessica, I so enjoyed this post. I really should be visiting your blog more often. There is much to receive from your words. I have come here a few times, and each time I leave… with only this thought – “wow.” Don’t worry about your posts being long. They have substance, and they have content… and they are definitely worth reading.

The Japanese did know all about humility.

That low door where one stoops to enter, it reminds me of the narrow door that leads to eternal life.

We’ve just celebrated Rosh HaShanah,, and Yom Kippur over here – with my friends from the Intercessors of the Philippines. Tonight it’s The Feast of Tabernacles begins.

Have a great week celebrating Sukkot…

ANd yes, I am joining America for the 40 days of prayer starting Sept 28. I love America… praying for how your nation will be preserved for it’s divine destiny.
