Wee word study: Sheep and goats

“Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom” Luke 12:32.

When the Son of Man comes in His glory

and all the angels with Him,

when He sits on His glorious throne

and all the nations are gathered before Him

and the books are opened,

When He separates one from another

as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats,

When He puts the sheep on His right, saying

“Come, you who are blessed of My Father,

inherit the kingdom prepared for you,”

and puts the goats on His left, saying

“Depart from Me, accursed ones,

into the eternal fire–”

and you are panting with fear,

wondering which one you are–

If He points to you

and motions you to the left–don’t panic.

It’s okay.

Your left is His right.

Stage right.

“And he shall set the sheep on His right hand–“

You’re in.
