Taken August 29, 2011. It’s blooming late this year, still hasn’t peaked.
California seasons must be very different than the Midwest. Our leaves are falling and the trees are getting ready for rest!
Some of my plants never did bloom. Strange weather? The Myrtle is lovely.
Our liquidambar tree dons fall reds and golds about the time our first daffodils bloom. My mother lived out here in California for years (having been born and raised in Wisconsin) but she always said we don’t deserve spring because we haven’t gone through winter.
I love this kind of tree…
