Sam Sebabi, a long-time friend of ours at church here in Long Beach (in blue shirt on left), was the eldest son in a big family back in Uganda. AIDS gradually killed his siblings, leaving him responsible for all his orphaned nephews and nieces. Even working two jobs Sam and his wife Ruth (far right) could not support the growing number of orphans.
So our church took on his family and found sponsors for many of the children–now 70 of them! This picture is from their Facebook site at Ugandan Lambs Association USA. Church members try to provide everything from food, shelter, clothing, medical care and school supplies to a knowledge of the Bible and its loving, generous God.
On November 16 and 30 there will be a Ugandan Craft sale in Long Beach to support the Lambs. If you can’t come and want to help, you can reach Sam and Ruth directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. We have known them personally for years and can vouch for their integrity in financial accountability.
